RE: The Missing Freedom after the Lockdowns

Thanks so much - yeah, I think there would have definitely been that many or more!

As ever - thanks for the encouragement too! All 3 of these images (although not specifically mentioned) have some connection to that struggle to get out. The woodland shot was taken on a trip to speak at a camera club and I made myself leave early to do some photography and make the most of the journey. Was glad I did as I found the only fog I've had all autumn!

Sort:

I get the impression that we get more mist and fog down here than in the NW. Every time I pop up north to visit Mum, I scour the forecast for signs, but it's nearly always too breezy! I'm glad you got a foggy outing with your camera. :)

haha - yeah, I think I'd agree from the amount of gorgeous mistiness you capture!

This was a real fluke - it was taken in a car park on the highest point of the drive into the Peak District (Mam Nick on Rushup Edge). Low cloud was hugging the hills, and I knew there were trees next to the car park. Pulled in and had about 10 mins before the clouds lifted. That one was taken in a parking space getting funny looks from everyone who drove in!

(I've got three images in the last year taken right by the car... that might have to become a post of its own...!)

Ahh that's a good tip. When Up North, don't wait for misty conditions. Instead, head to high ground when there is low cloud forecast... :)

You should definitely do a post about car park photography!
