YOU'RE THE FOOL who thinks my point on ATTENTION RETENTION stops at reading. I made the point way back that it's the first step in the process of converting traffic.
OBVIOUSLY on a chain where money is involved THE GAME/SYSTEM is to have ACTIVE USERS.
HOWEVER if you read any stats from people who provide that info, all agree that HIVE is failing at converting that traffic.
I didn't realize I was talking to a simpleton that needs things explained step by step when the blaring obvious is implied.
What HIVE is clearly becoming is JUST MAINLY LATIN AMERICAN CONTENT CREATORS putting out content FOR AUTOMATED VOTES. That was how this comment chain began. That is why I made the claim that IT'S ALL SHITPOSTING because AUTOMATED VOTING TRAILS DON'T READ. QUALITY DOESN'T MATTER. The current VERY SMALL COMMUNITY HERE also DOESN'T READ so there is quality in small amounts but a new user needs to go digging for it. People only really care about trying to get a slice of the rewards pool.
The point I then made to @brittandjosie was that if that's the game then the platform itself doesn't keep that CONTENT STREAM going in order to at least retain traffic.
So this Hive thing is failing. It's shrinking. Steemit, which was believed to die quickly is actually doing the game better.
So you tell me... is that a good thing? Hive was celebrated early on as superior. Yet what's superior about this system? Do you see this thing growing? Is this broken thing sustainable? Sure it might exist for some time yet but there's no damn growth.
ie: ATTENTION RETENTION
NOT CONVERTING INTO GROWTH.
ATTENTION RETENTION means time spent on the site, stop trying to change its meaning to whatever you like it to be.
USER RETENTION and ATTENTION RETENTION are two different things, you do not even know the correct terminology, and it is clear you have not seen the stats as Hive is growing. The number of posts and comments are increasing, the number of votes is increasing and the number of new accounts created is increasing.
You say it is shrinking but the stats say otherwise.
I am not clutching at straws, you are making up your own terminology and then try to explain it as if everyone else uses it like that.
ATTENTION RETENTION: How much time a user spends on a site before closing it.
USER RETENTION: How likely a user to return to the site.
USER CONVERSION: How likely a user will create an account
A retained user still does have an attention retention rate.
So you are moving the goal post from Hive not growing to Hive not retaining enough users from western countries.
Arguing with you is just like arguing with a 5-year-old, you move your goalposts every time. You assign your own meanings to suit your needs and to look like you are right. You changed your point from medium.com and its attention retention to the system fails if it can't convert traffic/page views effectively.
Anyway, I am done arguing with you, because there is nothing to be gained from arguing with someone who does not know how to argue.
Do you even have a life ? @xiko
