Orion's Ode

O' dear Moon goddess do not weep
this soul of mine is yours to keep.
Though this romance ended in a mess
I'll never have it any better than this.

Your arrow flew straight and true,
never seen anything so beautiful, as beautiful as you.
Piercing my heart like your love did,
everything was worth it, every least deed.

Your love and compassion, the hunt and the thrill,
as my soul leaves this body I clearly remember them still.
I may perish right here today,
by your side is where my heart will stay.

O' Artemis, My Artemis, Goddess of the Moon.
Your peerless beauty no mortal should be worthy to behold.
Death's pain can't compare to the sight of your face agloomed,
though your twin brother was cruel and quite the fool.

Through eternity we will always be.
With canis major and minor, I will guard thee.
So when the fool Sun, sets in the west and darkness looms,
together we will always be, as the Stars and the Moon.

There you have it folks, I hope you liked it. Until next time!

Wew Arnie, you flatter me too much with your kind words.

A wonderful penned classically-inspired write. Good story-telling to boot. Bravo:)
