Isn’t he amazing! I can’t help but stare at him. :-) I’m glad you enjoyed my poem. My thought process when writing was a mix of example get my hope, fears of 2018 while describing an imagine. I have this image of being lost at sea that feels the same as entering this new year.

Have you ever listened to Rich Mullins? What you describe sounds a bit like some of his songs. Some of my favorites are "Hold Me Jesus", "Sometimes by Step", and "The Color Green" - who am I kidding I love all his songs, I'm going to force myself to stop at 3. I highly recommend the sometimes by step video, he gives a good talk at the beginning :)
