The thrill I once knew feels lost, swallowed by the void inside.
I no longer see beyond the shadows that stretch across this path,
My yearning for change slowly drains the spirit that once burned bright.
Will I ever watch my fate shift before my weary eyes?
I question destiny, seeking truth in the silence of these nights
Will I ever grasp the dreams that visit me while I sleep?
To feel again the warmth of sunlight on my skin.
But now, it seems we've drifted far from who we used to be,
And I've begun to doubt the bond that held us, before it shattered.
A life untouched by the sorrows that haunt my steps.
For nothing else do I wish but the freedom to feel joy
To bask, once more, in the gentle warmth of the sun.
