Innocence

in #poem3 years ago

The look on her face
trying to make it look clean
lie after lie
her conscience telling otherwise
the expressions of being helpless
the selfishness hidden inside
the listener looking with apathy
the silent onlooker was not fooled
the 'heart' inside
the mind that could also be a friend or foe
recording each thought, word, and action
it kept count
karma replayed later
the innocence that was faked
became a real cry
karma was harsh
it forgave none

'Karma' is a word often overused. It can mean work or the effects of work. A karma yogi is one who does work without expecting or looking forward to the results or desiring the fruits, rather. Such a person is rare in this world. Even if the person does not desire the fruit of his action, Dharma will make sure he gets rewarded. Dharma means righteousness.

So, Karma and Dharma are related.

If you do karma based on dharma, then nothing bad can affect you, provided you do not desire the fruits of your actions.

Actions that are based on truth, right, and justice will always bear well.

Actions do not generally indicate the daily routine duties that we do. It means the work that is done deliberately and can change or make its mark on the lives of the self and others too.
