Like the selfless signboards
That stand in the streets
Withstanding the wrath of winter and summer
To prevent travellers from going astray
So are the parents who sacrifice everything
Toiling day and night
To ensure that their kids
Without being pierced by thorns and spikes
Walk through the forest called life
