Musings by the bay

in #poem7 years ago

I moved in

And the city greeted me with elegant showers,

My anxiety was washed away,

In the gentle touch of those petals of flowers.

It’s vastness, it’s canvas,

It’s crowd, it’s pace

And the salty smell of the sea,

It was all I did foresee.

But in all that chaos,

There was this crashing sound

Of waves hitting the shore

It gave strange solace to my heart’s core.
Each moment, is a different wave

It comes with challenges in a new pack,

Taking away some of me

While leaving something back.

The tall towers.

 They remind me

Of the heights I have to reach

Yet keeping me grounded,

And to never forget my roots.

It never lets you settle.

There’s a different dimension to this city

It tests you, keeps you going

And fills you up with the much needed tenacity.
I have seen plan meet disorder,

The made up face and the ugly face,

The white and the black; In a city full of extremes

There lies experience in between.

My friend who wrote it today while we were both were taking about our life and new job. A new lesson in life. It is totally different atmosphere and weather. Everyday we challenge to achieve new heights.

I told him about STEMMIT, he is coming soon on STEEMIT to share his stories.

Thank you
