Time and Age

Just like that

Old man what are you seeing?
Through those tired old eyes
When you forget what you were about to say
And you don't remember half of yesterday
When your bones creak
Because your back's weak
It's not you that's there,
but the ghost of what you once were.

Just Like That!

Dreams grow old and die,
hastily we fill the gaps.
Years go sailing by
and memories overlap.

Youth becomes the summer
of many years ago.
All we ever cherish
is gone before we know.

Coping in our way,
defined by every scar.
Now the summer’s over
and the Sun's a distant star.

Just like that!

We fear tomorrow,
the game in final play.
The joys and all our sorrows -
gone but in a day.

wow @urchice Brilliant piece. Giving us a taste of old age and what to expect. if so many people realizes what lies ahead, perhaps we will chose to make this world better. At old age we all only come to discover that humanity is the greatest gift. I hope many of us don't live in regret at old age. Kindly follow back, so we stay in touch @sheyzznote
