Hello Africa!
The mother of culture
The anchor of tribalism and eithic
The home to all Negroes
Hello Africa!
My motherland
A land bestowed with diversities of talent
Aland blessed with milk and honey
Oh! Mother Africa!
You have it all
Yet
Your children lack,
We sit and watch the sabre-toothed tigers
Take our portion of meat
We mourn for our stolen possession we yearn for the reviving of our culture which is slowly fading away
Oh mother Africa!
Nsu Unam ?!
Mbong ono ho?!
What has happened to you
Where is your prestige?
Your norms?
Your traditions?
Your moral values?
Your sense of oneness & unity?
Gone with the wind one would say,
Swallowed by the Nightingale
Yes the Nightingale!
With that beautiful and lovely sounding voice of hers, She slowly lures and cajoles us into listening to her....... It spreads it wings of confusion over us preys on our ignorance
And leads us astray
It corrupt our young minds and enlighten us all the same ..
How it does it, I do not know .
But I do know that we need mother Africa to be on guard .... I know we still yearn for the sweet melody of the talking drum;
The serenity and coolness of our environment
the affordable rates of commodities.
We long to hear our children speaking the beautiful language of mother Africa
I long to see
Africa United once more in Love!
