A Failure

I can't look in the mirror,
It hurts too much today.
I hate everything I see,
I hate everything I say.
I want to peel back my face,
And see who is really underneath,
Because that person staring back at me,
Can't possibly be me.
But all that is underneath my skin
Is blood and bones and meat.
I know that face is me.
That face that I hate.
I know, I know.
I know exactly what you're going to say,
But I'm sorry,
I can't just stop feeling this way.
I can't stop reliving all of my mistakes.
I've tried, I've tried so hard,
And every time I fail,
It's a reminder.
Yeah, that’s me.
A failure.
I can't see a future anymore,
I'm just a waste of space,
No one here needs me,
Let me just cut it away.
