ETERNAL BLACK HOLE

Shadows in the dark
Starving for the light
Agents of the mark
Sharpening a spike
Riding out the pain
Of burning at the stake
An infernal reign
No earthly thing can break

The fear of evil’s rise
Was ripe among the trees
Of what was still alive
Was dying of disease
As pyros in the cold
Burnt out any open eyes
Heart and soul
With jaded light
Inside a black hole

A joker in the mist
And a mystery on the shore
An echo from the past
Enchants the quiet oars
Sweeping with an art
Withstanding every wave
In light of every star
Entrancing every grave

I’m asleep enough to breathe
With a voice enough to sing
A song to heed the night
In flight upon my wing
In faltering disguise
Igniting my inviting pride
And binding soul
Eclipse the light
Abiding black hole

Hollow in my skin
I’ve vanished from the earth
A prisoner out of time
Dismantle my own birth
Revealing my design
Within my darkest dream
For innocence a shrine
Twisted by a scream

While breaking in the lie
In light of nature’s lust
As one we might decide
With hearts of ash and dust
And novelties aside
To turn the tide or toe the line
Sevenfold
Bleeding light
Eternal black hole
