Oh my rose, what have they done to thee?
No longer enchanting and endearing to me
Pale, hard and rough to the feel
Just like the skin in the aftermath of a fight with a bee
The gentle breeze that ruffles your leaves
Spreading your endearing peeves
Strong enough to scale the toughest riffs
At sunset of the greatest eves
The mighty sun that shines on you
Enhancing you glory under the sky hue
Until a bloom appears that overshadows the blue
Now, it only makes you blue than hue in due
The morning due that makes thee wet
Making you blush under the moons bonnet
Capturing every mans heart with a net
Now, it would only make you forget
But my heart still recognise
Reckoning with your wounded spirit in disguise
Still beating for you despite the lies
Watching you fade away as time flies.

Written for that special someone.
I started this challenge in hopes of winning sbds, but I've come to realise that writing comes from the heart, and you have to feel it before you can write it.
Thanks to @d-pend for this great opportunity. You can join the steemit school on discord here, where you can learn a lot more than you could ever imagine.
I agree writing must come from the heart!
This is to inform on the behalf of @d-pend that your poetry is seen for the 100 day challenge. Keep up the good work.
