We said our goodbyes
With no worries, no tears.
No throwbacks to cherish so dear.
I guessed you moved on,
Or maybe it's just pretense but this i know is true - I moved on!
I looked away in the distance to catch a glimpse of your shadow,
But it never came.
I guess I was just another wisher wishing a different course,
Like for disappointment to go away in haste,
As I close eyes to picture a better morrow.
There were voices in my head, pictures of a ruptured trust.
Then I realise; no amount of hurting myself would right your wrongs
Especially when forgiving proves most difficult.
Maybe I leave it to time for the scars to heal,
And hope that it will one day bring me inner peace.
Friends with salient but twisted dreams.
Friends of utmost disappointment.
Friends bereaving friends of happiness.
This I write to my circus of friends I needed the most but weren't there.
This I write; my tearduct is no longer pregnant with undeserving tears.

the poems that touches me, i deal with them in silence. this was one of those poems.
