Flip the page. We start over.
See the rage? My brother.
Seek you will find:
a place, a rhyme, a design -
in the back of your mind,
untainted by time.
The bridges they burn,
illuminating my path:
spiraling down from an ivory tower.
United we stand.
The people have the power:
this fading light flickers, in earth’s darkest hour.
Faith, economy,
divided by hypocrisy;
machines at war, and the powers that be:
a public enemy, of all men free…
Close your eyes, close your eyes,
and listen to the homily.
Twisted by The Vine, Forbes, Fortune and Time:
desire, require, and acquire your wealth.
Forget the hungry children.
In your delusion:
they’re a plague, an aberration,
not worth compassion.
Taking your words from the man in the pulpit,
distorting the truth: you force pieces to fit.
Passing your judgement,
on innocent minds:
forcing them to despise,
and propagate your lies.
Your time will come,
like all men before you.
Remembered by some,
for the deeds you’ve done.
Eventually you’ll fade into obscurity -
no memory left to break the harmony.

Here's a white rose for you. Just in case you're dead inside. Taken by yours truly in Munnar: Kerala, India.
This is a lovely poem, it's like it spoken in a warm tone, but well, it's hard to describe lol
Thank you for your kind words. I'm glad you could relate :)
