This collection of poems by Leonardo Padrón is one of my favourites. Its different pen makes us enjoy a daily poetry, with a simple language. The poems that you share and analyze for us are beautiful, poems that speak of the love that did harm and that you want to forget, but that in that eagerness continues deep in the heart. Another of the poems in this book that I love is Instructor of Flight, I allow myself to share it here:
I taught her to see cities in the curve of the sea.
I explained the disorder of the suitcases.
I took her to bridges not suitable for travelers.
I showed her bays and lightning.
Cirques that swayed like love poems.
I made her an expert in streets and swamps.
We crossed museums that only opened at night.
Roads that collapsed after so much arriving at the future.
I showed him the alcohol of sunrises.
I pushed her into the landscapes.
I made her infringe the transit of the heart.
I forced her to engrave mountains on the back of her eyes.
I showed her legends and scarce wines.
Beaches that drowned in her legs.
The rumor of beauty in the middle of the highway.
Postcards turned into hard sex.
I filled it with unforgivable cities.
I told her gypsy.
I made her a tourist.
Simply
I taught her to leave.
Thank you for this excellent publication, @nancybriti. It reminded me of nice moments when I read this book.
Thank you, @adsactly for sharing it.
