This was brilliantly written - I loved the anticipation that rolled out in the poem, as well as your chosen rhyme pattern, the broken rhyme that you entered gives the certainty of uncertainty while the pair rhyme lends a feeling of hope for togetherness.

One line that particularly calls out to my heart is:
"scars faded into obscurity next to a soul that fits"
Just a reminder that it doesn't matter how broken we are- we can still feel whole
