Ford of the Lies

In the linguistical intersection
Between demonstrating one’s beauty
and admiring the external scenery,
one is left with a lazy eye
for inner detail.
Do our surroundings present us with joy…
Or is our perspective our only toy?
Now, I feel I’m still just a boy
With growing pains amidst all this
Nihilism
of which I’ve been known to partake
and I’ve always said
‘it’s for love’s sake’
But then, maybe I’ve never
Truly been awake!

In crossing the Ford of the Lies,
There is no real diff’rence
Twixt the ‘hi’s’ and ‘goodbyes’.
