It's The Night Before New Years, ...

It's the night before New Years, and all through the house,
The furnace's a- blowing and so is my blouse.
The embers been dying in the fireplace before,
While Pop's on his easy chair with a great snore.

A foot of snow's coming by morning's dawn,
And I'm not so happy what'll be on our lawn.
The sound of shovels scraping crystals galore,
Our sidewalk finally reaching the front door.

Just brushed three inches off the old car,
Before I'd move it into the gar.
Age makes no difference, except at this time,
When ......................................................ryhme.
