RE: Poem / Still Hope

in #poetry8 years ago

There is still hope and much more. Be patient, be still and rest your heart and mind. Let it heal and become strong again. What looks dark and black/grey to you will eventually evolve into a light color and then a fuller color until it reaches a deep and rich color of the rainbow. Remember, there cannot be any rainbows of hope without the rain and storms. There cannot be understanding of joy and happiness without the pain and hurt. Life is about balance. The pendulum swings to the left/dark. Eventually it will swing to the right/light. Then it will rest in the middle so you can thrive. Hang in there!

very insightful, Thank you :) I was in a glum mood when I started writing but as I progressed on this piece my mood started to lighten.

It's okay to have moments of glum. That is part of the healing process. The main thing is that you release anything that is pent up because holding it in is detrimental to your core. Just like the song Frozen, "Let it go". :)
