Reflections of our life

We rotate in a circle,
watching how the absences alternate
in a time of dust
with the face of a new existence.

The hours stretch
in days, in months and in years,
hope wanders like a ghost
inside a house in ruins.
And we are calm and silent
locked in selfishness.

We left intact from the hiding place of cowardice
like a warrior stripped of his courage.

A very emotive poem. The words seem a stark criticism of our ailing humanity.

Yes, friend @momzillanc, we live in a sick society, where only individuality matters.

You got that right Mr cordero sometimes i wonder how slowly we, i adapt to this cruel world. And how the day's races like a racing horse

It is not the slowness with which we adapt to this cruel world. It's because we adapt so quickly to this cruel world and, sometimes, we become part of it. Thank God, many of us still have a conscience and a high spirituality to love our neighbor.

True words friend

Sadly, I cannot disagree with you. Individuality often leaves no room for compassion or empathy.

I think we do not understand each other, we have the same opinion. Precisely friend @momzillanc, individuality is the disease of society. As I expressed previously. We lock ourselves in selfishness. When we share more with our neighbor and the empathy manifests, we will be healing society to live in harmony.

I actually think we do understand each other. I wrote that I do not DISagree. That’s my rather round about way of saying I agree with you, but wish people weren't this way. 👍🏻

Mis líneas favoritas:

Giramos en círculo
en un momento de polvo
la esperanza vaga como un fantasma
Y estamos tranquilos y silenciosos
como un guerrero despojado de su coraje.

Son momentos en que vivimos cotidianamente.

A los venezolanos nos adormecieron. Estamos como castrados.
