Stone horizons
In the massed crags, silent—
I watch the budding of isotopes
scraping feeble echoes
from the seafront.
Faces, mossed bodies expressionless
in the forbidden dawn.
Graphite lion,
behold your pearl lioness:
let her
etch you away.
While I paint the scene of tremors,
gather strength for yore's decay.
To flower your feverish past,
postcard of the fallacious ice.
Aquamancy censored,
made dense at the crag's advice.
I know between coils of spring
the excitement of song made sea.
I found in consorting with stones,
The spirits they harbor are free.

Fortaleza, @d-pend. You are great and we love you.
Beautiful poem that make you feel the endless range of rocks and mountains, covered with silver clouds, passing quick with the wind. The silence that dominating there, that you do not really want to disturb, you never know what can happen. But on other side you can't stand not to shout and hear echo reflecting from those majestic stone wall of Fjords. Beautiful pictures passing so good to your poem @d-pend.
Good word synchronization @d-pend I have always said:
A single verse can remain latent in our memory until one day it understands its meaning.
Poetry can be complicated for those who do not understand its complexity. Poetry lends itself to open our imagination and explore a world of fantasy.
Another wonderful gaze through the eyes of the Creator @d-pend. If you put half of that energy into songwriting, you would create previously unseen heights of success in that world. But your perfect here:) I hope life's good!
I like the rhyme in the last stanza - it seems like it falls into place nicely, like brush strokes or etched by waves, naturally, and yet the result is appealing. Those timeless, expressionless faces and the lions and mossed crags are memorable images.
@d-pend,
Gorgeous.

I wonder how you wrote this article. I feel your nature as a human being or it could be the effect of playing dota and yoga.
I really enjoyed the rhythm of the last stanza. The imagery was great, and the and the metaphor of the lions really fit well with it. Good write.
you really have captured the spirit of these natural giants in your words, some really do look like they were hand sculpted,ah the beauty of nature something that could never be recreated xx
This one is really beautiful ...
P.S have you given up on the backlog of the poetry challenge and will there ever be classes again @d-pend ...if not let us know ...if yes let us know ...oh master of non communication and fluffy hair!
Thanks! I haven't given up on it. I've been doing something I should've finished a long time ago and getting my TEFL certification (Teaching English as a Foreign Language.) I've waited to talk about it because I want to announce it once I know what the deal will be exactly. As far as restarting classes I'm not sure at the moment but for right now I can't lead them. Hope you and the fur-kids are OK! Talk soon :-)
Good to hear from you almost gave up on you ... I understand about the classes but let everyone know they have been hanging in the air for a while . Good on your cirt that will open some god doors for you me thinks.. ..
"I watch the budding of isotopes" Great line
Haha. You've probably figured out I like add scientific terminology into poetry sometimes, it just feels right :-D
I did figure it out and I like that style.
Beautiful as usual! Resteemed
Beautiful photos and imagery in your poetry!
