Sometimes, the true hero lies between the sweat and blood of people who dies himself for the glory of his loved ones. I dedicate this poem to the heroes of the greenfield. I won this poem in our school during national heroes day.
Upright with the root of boldness and might;
In a twig of liberty and bright,
For a bed of downfall leaves, a daring knight.
Our pleasure is given for every bread,
In every course where the board is spread;
But the scarce is hold unto you,
The might I, myself, cannot renew
Sun-kissed skin in middle of vast greenfield,
Crop is watered with blood and sweat to be yield;
Seeks wings for a dream to fly,
But people chose to ignore your cry.
Under the heaven where vast body is greener,
A cruel battle between survival and hunger,
Ain't swords and gun but sunlight and water,
Where seeds caressed by your hands, dear farmer.
A humble soil can only witness all his toil,
For true hero is bathed with blood and oil,
In the surge of light and extent rain,
Whereby a brave smile hidden beneath the pain. *
