FRIENDSHIP THAT FLOWS LIKE A RIVER

On a cool Saturday evening the stars shone bright almost as though aware of the beauty that was yet to evolve.
The entire world was unaware of the verse, the history that was never going to dissolve.

I would still wonder if we hadn't met that day, would we still have crossed paths later on?.
The earth has a funny way of doing things that we sometimes don't understand, do we stop her from revolving around her axis?

My first words barely came out, your beauty made them fade away at the tip of my tongue.
Alas i wanted to proclaim your perfection, confidence let me down and my fear became long

Then a miracle happened as the angels sang on my behalf
You said hello to me and my universe felt heavy
Leaves would have fallen from a tree at that moment
Ice would have melted on the cream if they both met

We connected after that like an electric shock
Sending bolts of lightning that sparked up our way
I remember it's just yesterday when we met
But the time we spend together is as sweet as the shore

Who would cure our dream?
Who would pinch our skin?
This friendship that flows like a river
This love that'll last for ever
