This is my entry for @terrycraft's 'Steemit Poetry Contest', the theme is Emptiness. I haven't written any poems in a long time and it really was fun to do it again.
Okay, so here it goes:
Last Embrace
Looking at the stars, in silence he sat
He couldn't stop thinking,
He couldn't stop drinking,
From that glass filled with poisonous regret.
‘Why am I here?’ – constantly mumbling
‘What should I do?’
‘Where should I head to?’
He witnessed his world crumbling.
Salty tears fell on his face
As rain started pouring…
He was still mourning
The emptiness of her last embrace.
