The fruits ripened
And I desired a taste
I would have held on
To the wings of angels
But now a celestial dream
And I flee in this burning weather
For the sly One has pricked me
With the thorns of forbidden love
I am so forlorn
Cast out of light
Freezing in biting cold
Pain-ful is the sweet-ness
That makes you mine
And takes you away from me
Un-fathomed misery
Un-bidden fear
And a love forbidden
The Sun shines through your eyes
They are made of gold
Tears glisten in your eyes
Silver crystals that touch my soul
Moments that flow as treasures
And passion that drifts as pain
I dare not whisper , ' I love you '
For even a thousand life-times
The pleasures remain forbidden
Forbidden love , Forbidden passion
For now hidden , but for how long hidden ?
In my dreams and fantasies
I fail to cease
From insatiable thirst
For a love that lies beneath
For embers that refuses dousing
Now I quickly descend into realms
Of solid despair
For passion denied
And love forbidden
The sky is overcast
I sight the menacing storm
The mountain air is cold and crisp
And I am lost in thick depths
How will I breathe
Air ! Sweet air ?
Moths and flame
Are kindred spirits
I tasted the forbidden
And I tingle from improper secrets
I close my eyes to precious memories
To indelible prints of a flame un-leashed
Let the slow glitters of grassy streams
Speak of love's delicate fragrance
But I am drowned in woe
And I am bound by a fear so dark
Forbidden , I can't ever taste again
The moments of flowing treasures

this should be set to music...
I agree, it’s rhythm immediately takes the reader into the heart of the girl. A beat and some bass and this is a platinum record.
Thank you so much Lori, your words are sweet!!!!!
