MY GIANT COAL POT
In my giant coal pot
Burning black busy air
Thick hot tension suffocates the air
The thief is pronounced the owner
All owners are cast off into exile.
The pot is filled to the brim,
with tears of frustration, grief and frightening dreams.
Even the pot which has been washed several times with detergent and vim,
Still looks old and ragged, no sudden change for now,
"Surely this year", the thieves will always say
But surely this time the pot will not be to boil, no thief will be allowed to soil and steal.
From my giant coal pot, definitely no more.
Hello everyone and to those I haven't told yet, happy new year, first of, it's a poem not a game review, yep I'm gonna resume poem writing. It's a new year, so what other thing can be used to start a new year other than a poem about your country.
Things in my country aren't getting any better, and it pains me so, I really can't do anything about it, but maybe I can, yeah I can write.
DIVING DEEP
I'll go straight to the point
Stanza one
In my giant coal pot
Burning black busy air
Thick hot tension suffocates the air
With this, my giant coal pot means my county, with all the black people in it, and the atmosphere of fear, and frustration.
Stanza two
The thief is pronounced the owner
All owners are cast off into exile.
The pot is filled to the brim
With tears of frustration, grief and frightening dreams.
The thieves talked about here are the politicians, who mainly extort from the poor to get what they want.
Also the level of corruption and frustration is heightened.
Stanza three
Even the pot which has been washed, several times with detergent and vim
Still looks old and ragged, no sudden change for now,
"Surely this year", the thieves will always say
Now this means, though a lot of good minds and good people try to cleanse out corruption it doesn't work. And their promises of change is never true.
Stanza four
But surely this time the pot will not be allowed to boil, no thief will be allowed to soil and steal.
From my giant coal pot, definitely no more.
The final stanza is saying a time will surely come when things will surely change for good.
my quill bleeds
