Whispers of Time

Upon the whispered winds of time,
A couplet paired to share a rhyme.

A colored art of life and free
Tender heart, untempered, she.

To live, to love at twilight's eve,
One life that's shared, her dreams to weave.

And yet, so calm and patient, still,
Her man, unchanged, the winds can't chill.

Steadfast and strong, why must he wait?
Is it so wrong? Is it too late?

And yet, a balance on the wind,

Gentle kisses, laugher sends.

A sonnet suite of love, they rhyme,
Whispers on the wings of time
