of coincidence and
it’s so easy to be
driven to distraction
by the stories it speaks.
the room you know it,
the undeniable essence of it
dives deeply into your heart.
of who it is you really are,
presenting you with
a set of eyes
to connect with,
a moment of
sacred reconciliation.
beauty is rarely
long with us,
so we must
embrace imperfection,
learn to trust it,
before we rust
into oblivion.
we must simply stop running.
There is more
to life than the hustle.
isn’t built upon
making memories
we think will become
some gripping memoir
but merely walking
the path of the sages.

As always with your poetry, a few lines reach into me on a personal level, piercing the mundane chatter to speak a truth or two. In this poem, the way you've framed the space of coincidence sheds a new and true light on it, a way of seeing it that I hadn't considered.
So glad you're continuing to write poetry, in my view it's one of your true gifts. I still read and reread poems in your chap books every so often. Really rich food for the soul!

I'm reading a book called, "Synchronicity" by Dr. Kirby Surprise (Yep, that's his real name) and he talks about how the Universe merely mirrors our thoughts and intentions with synchronistic events in our own lives. He said so many people lose themselves in the maze of this SE's and become paralyzed. Thank you for your comment, my friend!

If each moment is its own dimension, then the infinite universes theory would make a lot more sense. After all, each of us would be having millions of dimensions. Who's to say the other moments couldn't happen too.
I like what you said about how you can know when Divinity enters the room. There's a gravity to it and the moment seems more real, more tangible, more unique. It's not just one in a myriad of other fleeting moments, it's something to be cherished. When we're able to be present in that moment and enjoy it for what it's worth, then we can find peace. So many people spend their life trying to attain something or become something, rather than just resting in who they are.
That's what sparked that line, the infinite universes theory. Very astute for you to pick up on that! Yes, I can think of a handful of times in my life where an overall feeling of joy just overcomes me after meeting someone or experiencing something. There's no denying that it's special but it's difficult to put a label or explanation to it. In this age of instant answers to almost any question (Google) it's great to know there are still some mysteries.
You must have allowed your emotions to flow with this one. The words and the message are quite inspiring. Been a long time I wrote a poem. I think I will dip my quill in the ink box to start out something.
