Thunderous feelings like Noah’s days
Raging so hard and threatening to end the life that houses it
Temptation that exceeds the serpent days
Don’t touch, don’t eat
Just don't remind me of the pain of the one that bit the apple
Whatever sacrifice there is, let me know
I will do better than Cain
He said "don’t rush", let’s keep it on the low
Tell me everything; just don’t tell me about the pain
I don’t want to know about the pain of the one that ate the apple
Let's live life, we are lucky we are in this moment together
And even when this moment is gone,
In our hearts is the tomb with the headstone
That reads "the moment that lived forever"
I just don't want to think about the pain of the one that shared the apple.
NOTE: This poem was originally written by me a few years ago when I found myself in an awkward position withsomeone I really liked but couldn't date.
