Luna’s Demure

giphy.gif
Beat:

You’ve Changed,
That magnificent soul I once knew,
Hides away, afraid of her own truth,
That beautiful soul that once burned,
Was put down and crushed once learned,

I stare at you in class as your heartaches,
I stare at you and fum as my heartbreaks,
The wonders of how old you once seemed,
How much could your heart-take?

I would liken you:
To the stars that once shined,
To the soul in the mirror with the devil behind,
To the soul with a beauty that holds,
To the person whose heart feels so cold,

Maybe it’s me and not you,
Maybe the way you see yourself Is renewed
and the way I see myself,
Is of an observer who pleads for help.
Maybe we all are insane and plain lonely,
Maybe we all can’t believe in ourselves,
Because life is but a dream,
Oh Luna how does life work?
To be seen, but to not be heard.
