RE: ADSactly Poetry : Lucid Lyrics Designed to Expand Minds (Part 32)

I "recited" this one to my younger daughter with the Indian tunes as a background. I must say it was fun, but can't say I kept a single tune or any sense of rhythm :)
She applauded, though. I'll keep playing with this and one of these days, I'll give it a serious try :)
I liked the musicality of these verses, the echoing of the "r"s.
There is a generational gap about which I am about to write (in regards to discipline at home and school) and I could, not agree on this regard here.

True, pressing circumstances can make people do desperate things and get in deep shit, but as you say

its like digging our own grave with a tin can using it as a shovel watching the time tick away true every single hour we’re getting paid

"Work dignifies man [sic]", they say, but we know how certain works can actually humiliate man or, worse yet, corrupt them to a point of no return.
There seems to be a material item for every personality. Some people accumulate things as they accumulate interested relationships, for pragmatical purposes only. Others, just for the sake of it. We have the collectors who could not care less if there's someone starving next door as long as they keep adding shoes, coats, jewels, comic books or paintings to their collections.

Thats cool that you tried to perform it! Thanks for giving it a shot. Yah I think the point about working and time more referred to us having to do laborious tasks for money that we have no passion to do. The feeling of being trapped is center stage in those situations and we can literally see the time slipping away.
