Today’s drawn picture was leaves falling through the air, but somewhere, somehow this poem ebbed out…
Of fairies or nymphs?
Hmmmm, an astounding NO?
But they are never far away!
Only a stone’s throw
Every single day!
Do ever feel aware
That something is there?
But when you look
In every single nook
Nothing is in sight
Just a trick of the light -
You thought.
Or were taught.
The truth about nymphs is
(And fairies)- they like to whizz
So fast, they are hard see
Because they are so free
Out of the corner of your eye
(fairies and nymphs are so shy)
You may see something flash by
It’s a momentary hello and bye
As they carry away your sighs
Tiny shadows moving sidewise
Little tiny hugs of love
You can get hold of
if you take the time to feel
The tiny tap and hear a little peal
Of perfect laughter
Heard happily ever after.
