Well said.
Thankfulness is one of the most important qualities one can develop for greater enjoyment in life overall. Learning to count your blessings is huge in changing your mindset, which leads to changing your life as a whole.
It's interesting, I recently read a synopsis of a study done at Harvard tackiling what makes certain individuals successful. One of the primairy conclusions they came to was that it isn't success that leads to happiness, but happiness that leads to greater success.
This, of course, stems from your ability to appreciate and be thankful for your life, your capabilities, and your position for what they are, rather than focusing on what you aren't. I think you captured this very nicely here:
" Be thankful that you don’t already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to? "
Upvoted and resteemed, make sure you keep writing! Would love to get your input on my latest piece here if you feel so inclined : )
