The tale began with a young girl falling asleep,
Falling and falling into a sleep oh so deep.
That is when she dreamed the most magnificent scene.
The dream was journeying through time.. in a time machine.
The girl started with the time of the dinosaurs,
Where she saw giant birds the size of rhinos sore!
Then when the girl went to go visit some cave men,
A cave caved-in and the brave girl had to save them!
Next the girl met the resilient Egyptians
And read a few of their brilliant inscriptions!
The girl saw a perl that was blank like a white page.
This perl was the world during its icey ice age...
When she went to the future, she saw flying cars
And found out some people were colonizing mars!
This young lady sailed the seas with courageous vikings!
Who wore nice rings and spiked things
To look more like kings...
The girl spoke with Native American tribes,
Who showed kindness by giving her bear skins and hides!
The girl witnessed some tuff men build China's great wall,
Which made the girl feel pretty small
Since this wall was thirty feet tall...
The young girl swam in the blue Atlantic ocean,
Where she found the city of Atlantis floatin'!
While the girl learned how to speak greek in ancient Greece,
Philosophers gave a speech, preaching about peace!
When she went to Japan, she met a man sure wise...
And this man was a grand leader of samurais!
Once the girl gave a gladiator his armor
So men fierce as alligators couldn't harm her!
The young girl shook hands with her great-great-grandfather,
Who wasn't a man…but an eight year old toddler!
Now out of all the good times she had, the child's best
Was when she traveled with cowboys in the wild west!
Lastly, she met the women who made the time machine,
But this was long after she had this kinda dream…
