The Simple Man's Poem to God

Dear God:

Hello my Lord, my Savior, my only King.
I wait for you everyday of my life, Heavenly father.

I've planted flowers and trees and seeds, yet
nothing has grown hear unless you gave it light.

You say you have made me to lie down in green pastures,
but you've made no one for me to lay down with my king.

Why must I wonder around like a sheep with no master?
There is no water and no food. It is merely an illusion.

The clouds follow me everywhere I go, my king.
As if they have no where else they can go sing.

The animals wont allow me to touch them, O God.
They wont even permit me to dance with them.

The trees will bear no fruit, O Great one.
They need not be watered because they wont drink, my Lord.

Why do you stare at my my creator, for it is you who have made me?
What do you ask of me, Great one, what price do I pay?

Why is it that my head is full of these fearful thoughts, O King?
What have I done to feel these pains in my heart, chosen one?

It seem no matter what I say, you simply listen to me pray.
Can you not see I'm seeking your hand O my Lord?

What is it you require of me, my mighty Lord?
What doest thou ask of me, my tall father?
