VICTIMS OF WAR

Victims of War
Of domestic violence
Of unwanted pregnancies
Of Child abuse
Day in and out we
See them crying on streets
We see them laying under the bridge
Hawking with a tray of pancakes
Balanced on their little white liced heads
We see them dead
Or crying beside the lifeless bodies of their dads
We see them on TVs
We see them as alien from another planet
For we feel no remorse anymore
Everyday we see them all around
The little heat to the heart we feel back then is not there anymore
Now we see them just like the sun up in the sky
Forgetting that we have just same aged little child
Andwe don't imagine it's his face we see beside our car hawking
We don't imagine it's our child's face we see on a child sleeping under the bridge
We forget it could be our child crying over our dead bodies someday
Little black eye balls plugged into the sockets
Hungry trimmed skull
Liced head and dirty coiled hair
Two drops of tear trickling down the cheek
The mouth tightly closed with no words to utter
With no food to make it salivate
Their teeth grinding their tongue
Swallowing their blood in fury
Fury that they are not strong enough to avenge their parents death
