Missing You

I miss you

In the bitter scent of fall,

When the scraping

Down the hall

Of maple stars

Makes me wonder

If the years

Have been good to you.

I truly hope life has not

Disappointed you...

Or made you

Lose your fire

And see October

As a winter prelude,

The mere remnants

Of desire…

The wine-stained dregs

Of lovers

We once were.

Going into the memory vaults can uncover wonderful vintages. A light touch to your write tonight but lovely essence:)

Hi Pryde - Been missing you lately - an appropriate image btw, of memory to a mellow, aged wine...but then, you are a poet :)

So busy on a novel series, but I did post a little bit of metaphorical philosophy today. Hopefully, I will post a little more in the coming week.

I'll take a look - Good!

Strange love poem! I feel that life is a constant stranger. We miss sometimes unintentionally, we only miss out of habit. Greetings

thanks for your response
