Friends

I need you
to be a listener
You need me
to hang words on

I am your outside
looking back
You are the surface
of my skin

We are friends since
neither can discover
A limit
where the other ends...

I need you
to be a listener
You need me
to hang words on

We are friends

That was lovely!

That's amazing one.

That's beautiful I love the repetition of phrases!

So lovely and simple! Hope I can aspire to simplify my writing this way. Glad to discover you @johnjgeddes, will be looking for more in the future :)

Thank you, @d-pend. Yes, it's an art that takes years to develop, to avoid unnecessary connectives and concentrate on strong nouns and verbs... and, of course, to have something to say LOL!!

This was a beautiful poem, resteemed!

Still waiting and wanting to read the book...

Thank you for the poem.

😄😇😄

@creatr

Yes, I know...I'm stalled in doing the revisions - should have left it alone, but I could never keep my fingers off a sore - and it has to be perfect, which it can never be, so I do have to leave it alone...I really do

Hmmm, I'm sorry to hear about the frustration and consequent delay...

Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised one day to find a copy at a yard sale. ;)

ha ha, I stopped going to them for that reason

Ha.

Next time you see one, please grab it; I'll reimburse you + shipping... ;)

better still, I'll finish it and put it up on Amazon - It's not doing any good sitting in a file on the Cloud

I shall not complain if you do... given reasonable notice, I'll be one of your first customers! ;)

I read through all the comments and it would appear you need some assistance? I will be vey happy to proof read A Familiar Rain for you, with no remuneration required ! Merely for the enjoyment thereof. Beautiful Words BTW.

ha ha, thanks @awgbibb - yes, I need more hours in the day :)
