I Know Your Thoughts

I know when you think of me
My heart goes still;
I feel your whisper
Like a breeze down a hall.

I know when you think of me
I sense a change;
Like a scent in the air
Before a spring rain.

I know when my heart
Goes dark and quiet,
I feel you near
Though my mind denies it.

I never tire
Of gazing at you,
The way I stare at rain,
Or watch the moon.

I know you doubt it
As you’re inclined to do,
But I know your thoughts
For mine are always on you.

John This poem is very deep, it delves into the recondite of our being. Congratulations

thanks @felix - You get it :)

This one gave me chills on the first paragraph that intensified in the second!!! Really enjoyed this :)
Now I'm gonna go read it again hehhee

thanks, @dreemsteem :)

curtsies and runs from the room before more of @johnjgeddes work sucks her back in.... LOL

I know you doubt it
As you’re inclined to do,
But I know your thoughts
For mine are always on you.

And what beautiful thoughts are those, for sure.

Awww.. this melts my heart John! This is full of love. 😍❤

thanks, Leah

that was quite an amazing poem , indeed he is a great God

Interpretation on different levels - I meant it as a romantic poem but your interpretation works except for the last stanza - God knows our thoughts, when we stand or sit down, and there's no doubt or shadow of wavering in him :)

wondetful poem, i like it..keep it up...dear sir @johnjgeddes

So lovely! I also believe that when you're very close to someone, you're capable of feeling them with something more beyond our five senses. It's that special connection that it's often described.

Beautiful as always.

This is so romantic, perfect for the month of love. Sometimes when we love someone so much, we think, speak, live, breathe that person.😍
