But you didn’t come;
Looked for you
In leaves
rushing
Down lonely streets,
The sky wild
With moon and cloud
And lamps’ shadows
On a wall.
Desolate
And adrift
As falling leaves
my thoughts
Whirled about
winding streets
and blown
scraps of poems
scattered
in empty lots…
So haunted,
the ghosts
Stayed home
Beautiful -haunting and sad , but most of all beautifull
thanks, @anneke. You always make meaningful comments - I appreciate that
No problem - your work is easy to comment on
Voting for the each other
You're not supposed to ask for votes, my friend
the poem reads as breathless and desperate as the seeker....beautiful but sad at the same time
Wow! Didn't think anyone would get that. Thanks, countrygirl
@abdelhamidtsouli
Thank you
What love will cause us to do.
so true... thanks, lydon
Nice poem jhon keep it up ..
thank you
I really like the way you made "leaves" and "streets" rhyme. Not sure if you meant to do that.
Thanks, @killerflu. I use proximate or near rhyme sparingly but continually throughout my poems and even my stories. It sets up an inward music in the hearer's mind...or so I hope :)
Haunting... this piece moved me so... Beautifully penned, John. :)
thank you, Tina - check my comments on your recent poems :)
Beautiful Imagery, Does allude to me,Doing My Daily Search for my phone ! Yesterday I had muted it so took half the Day to find it in the back of my truck!
Thanks @awgbibb - BTW, I kept losing my phone. keys, cheater/reading glasses etc. so I purchased a product called Tile - it's several small tiles that go on the 4 items you keep misplacing and it allows you to track and find them, including your phone, even if it's muted - It's about $100. CAD - don't know what that is in South Africa though :)
Sad story but amazing piece. This poem is awesome @johnjgeddes. :) I like it. ^^
thanks, I'm glad, @littlerph - appreciate your response
