I’ve spent a year
Alone with the Moon
Learning to love darkness
Longing for you;

Each lightning flare,
Or moonlit patch
Ignites an ember
From our past.

I close my eyes
Let images flow
As frame upon frame
Brightly glow,

But the film always breaks
In the very same place
With rain trails on panes,
And tears down your face.
