Free Verse Poem
Taking the time to admire in the beauty today,
On a regular basis not thinking about how I am feeling,
Empowerment to be different and not just the same,
While looking for a new and life changing purpose revealing,
I could be starting to grow out of my old self,
Like a turtle I sometimes don't want to show what is inside,
Maybe there is something that I did to change me,
Remembering when I just wanted to find a place where I could hide,
Nothing could bring me out of the trap,
Where I felt comfortable and was able to escape,
Now I can move on and hopefully never go back,
It is truly a great time to realize that it is never too late,
Stopping for a moment of silence I hear,
Sounds of wind crashing clear.
Otherwise keep it to yourself. ✌
