Sunset Anaesthetic

You’ve been in pain for so long

that you don’t even feel the pain as such, anymore

You wonder why it hurts, and why you can’t sleep

but somehow you don’t acknowledge it, either

You carry on, like the good little soldier

but the bags are getting heavy

and this war is not one that you wanted to fight

It’s more like a circus for fools

Then the sunset comes in like an an-aesthetic,

and the doctor tells you that yes, indeed

you are tired.

And doors open to buried emotions.

I love the poetry, @kafkanarchy84!

Its totally beautifull a golden sunst

Thanks, I do enjoy the non-political content that gets written and talked about like you and your videos about peaceful parenting. Same thing with Jake of the Voluntary Life. He has a really good podcast that I personally am a Pateron of his work. I'm trying to push my content into that direction as well!
