As Winter Comes
When the leaves in the trees wave goodbye
to the ice cold Johannesburg winter sky
It stirs up something from deep inside
next to the fireplace under blankets we hide
I long for the sunbeams through windows of ice
it’s time for me to roll the seasoned dice
by candlelight on a cold winter night
snuggling warm under the milky way so bright

It’s so beautiful when autumn arrives and to see how everything outside just gets transformed. Looking through the same window but seeing a different picture is what makes it so incredibly awsome. The old leaves are falling to the ground and will make space for brand new green leaves when its time for spring.
Though it’s cold it still carries such pristine beauty.
