Carousel....

My voice portrays riddles that seem only the wisest may answer correctly,
though the answers are quite simple,
In the house of all mirrors, you may find them,
possibly even when you stare into the water on the boat ride,
Illusions of an unmoving platform in the middle of a breathtaking carousel,
Dancing lights from the carousel spin faster so I am not permitted to see just one image,
In fact There are many that dance about my mind,
This ride has been going on for quite some time now,
But when the hourglass first fell to the floor, the words you spoke made me realize there may be no limit fiom start to finish,
Amused, I feel the cool wind blowing my hair back,
Drying the most miniscule drop of water from blurring my vision,
In this somewhat delusional state I am amazed by your presence,
The slightly tinted bits of glass you see my image through, mesmerizes my mind,

Though from where you stand, You can see right through to me,
I realize I am not sure if you are on or off the theme park attraction,
Would you take my outstretched hand, or shall I just stand and watch until you find your way,
Beauty and enjoyment mixed with fright from the unexpected fast pace,
Aware of the cries from the ones afraid,
I don't recognize a clear word,
I hear the laughter of those amused, and it makes me smile,

Like a small child, I feel helpless as to what I should do,
But I know I am perfectly safe where my feet are planted,
The clear mix of bright colors swirling playfully around intrigue me,
I feel almost inebriated in this place,
But the Confusion is met by an almost euphoric peace of mind,
hesitation tries to stop the spinning,

But is no opponent for the yells of the hopeful,
Their words echo and drown out the sounds of those who would like it to stop, I take in as much as possible, so if I do find this ride may end,
in the middle of this brightly lit carousel,

I will have the memory that stands as still as I am standing now....
