RE: Poem / Pulling Triggers

in #poetry7 years ago

Very deep poem. I find that there are many ways to interpret this story. The reaper, in my eyes, symbolises depression; its mischievous nature and the way it dwells just around the corner, always waiting on innocent victims to come out so it can pounce. The line 'And destroy their terrestrial minds' really supports this, again, in my eyes, and the constant theme of freeing the body of the mind further shows me how destructive this depression can be on the human mind. Overall I really enjoyed this poem and will definitely check out more of what you have! If you too are interested and have some free time, I have poetry on my blog too! Thank you for sharing!

Thank you, I believe this reaper is what anyone fears in life, and it all eventually leads to out end.

I will check out you stuff too :)

Agreed, the deepest of fears. Great poetry makes the reader be able to interpret the meaning in his/her own way, and this is what your poetry is doing. Well done!

Thank you! :)
