A letter never written...

I wish I would have met you,
somewhere down the line…
Wrote a touching letter..,
somewhere for you to find.

I wish I could have told you,
it's always not this hard.
Let you know your future,
things that you'd become.

The man you see before you,
is an image of the past.
What lies beyond the mind,
is all that really lasts.

Pain you think will break you,
playing with your fears.
Love that will save you,
brings you to your knees…

The game of life is so unfair --
someone should have told you.
It's wisdom cold and harsh..,
and only has one end.

Don't let the world define you,
don't let them choose your path.
Be grateful for your life,
trust the voice inside.

But moments you appreciate,
the ones that see you through.
Nurturing of soul mates --
times meant just for two.

That's what life is all about,
knowing you were loved.
Believing in your heart,
and never fear the fall.

When all your past is buried,
just a memory in time.
Always on my mind
