Sad, but not depressing. Kids always feel so deeply and always seem so afraid of losing their parent's love.
When I taught pre-primary age it was the biggest fear of every kid in the room!

I think it's because we're genetically programmed to bond with our parents. It's das to see kids be scared of being abandoned but at least in school, it's only for a few hours. I can't imagine how kids feel when they get put up for adoption. Thanks for the comment :)
