The mongrel has his day
And every fool his way
But failure to rightly amend
Sure dooms him in the end.
“Every day for the thief”
It may be long or brief,
But when the owner has his say
It marks the thief’s last day.
One worked hard for his food
The other, play he would
But when the winter came up fast
It starved him at the last.
Another did disarm
By rend’ring false alarm
Till when true ill by him was blown
He was sore on his own.
So mind the things you say
And how you others pay
For Justice surely shall be served;
You’ll get what you deserved.
